Do you have plans for Global Running Day?

Global Running Day is Wednesday, June 6, and RunningWorks is hosting their third Annual 12-Hour Run To End Hunger and Homelessness.

The 12-hour run will begin at 6 a.m. on the corner of Trade and Tryon Streets. RunningWorks team members and community volunteers will run relay-style for 12 hours. Show up anytime during 6a-6p and run as much as you wish. Maps of running routes and water will be provided.

Also Running Works will be collecting toiletries (travel size soaps, lotion, razors, toothpaste, deodorant, and other personal hygiene products) to help our neighbors throughout the season

Global Running Day is all about celebrating the sport of running. RunningWorks uses this special day to raise awareness for homelessness and poverty in the Carolinas. Since 2012, RunningWorks has been dedicated to supporting causes to eradicate homelessness and hunger in our local community. Their mission is to use sport and education to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness one stride at a time.
