Mallard Creek Greenway Run

Come out and play! Our next Mallard Creek Greenway Run will be on Saturday, February 24th at 7:30 a.m.

We welcome back representatives for Run the Creek 5K, so be ready for some warm-up fun with another chance to win a free entry to the race that takes place Saturday, March 9th. This time around the winner will be selected PRIOR to the run, and you must be present for a chance to win! Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early, as announcements will start at 7:25am so we can launch as close to 7:30am as possible.

The starting point for this run is at Mallard Creek Elementary School, located at 9801 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262. The school's parking lot offers direct access to the greenway and even has a porta-john available if needed. For additional parking, there are shopping centers within a convenient 0.6-mile walking distance. You won't need to worry about how to stay hydrated, as we will have water stations both at the starting/finishing area and along the greenway.

To plan your run or walk, we have provided maps with turnaround points for distances of 5K, 6 miles, or 13.1 miles on our website. Simply follow the link below to explore these routes and prepare for your run:

Our mission: Building a Strong and Healthy Community Through Running

The Charlotte Running Club consists of passionate runners that strive to spread the love of running and to help each other grow. The Club's goal is to bring the expansive, diverse, and exciting Charlotte running community together under one umbrella through motivation, group runs, and social events.

Our club represents an incredibly diverse population, from lifelong competitive runners to couch-to-5k-ers and everyone in between. We all found running for different reasons and at different times in our lives, but we all now share a collective interest in making Charlotte a better place to run. Over the coming months and years, CRC is committed to helping to drive that transformation by connecting our members to:

  • Running Opportunities. From fun runs to workouts to races, we help connect runners to events and activities for runners of all ages and abilities.
  • Social Opportunities. You can't run all the time, so we provide fun and engaging opportunities for runners to socialize away from roads, tracks, and trails.
  • Community Involvement. Whether we're volunteering at a local park, coaching and mentoring with community running organizations, or advocating for runner safety, we strive to help make Charlotte a better place to run.
